Loading on closely spaced structures

Abstract:
Over the past 10 years a series of blast trials have been carried out to characterise the loading on faces of rigid and responding scale model buildings . These have been single or multiple closely spaced rectangular structures. Blast shielding and  enhancement factors are reported together with overall conclusions. Fast running software incorporating the findings has been developed. A preview of work being carried out on non-rectangular buildings is included
